Having spent most of my life in Alberta, I’ve grown deeply connected to the culture of our farmers markets and the hardworking people behind them. Every handmade soap, jar of honey, and bag of locally roasted coffee represents not just a product, but a story of passion and community.

When I created a gift box for a wedding, I was struck by how limited the options were for people who wanted to gift locally and truly support Alberta businesses. It seemed like something was missing: shoppers weren’t finding these amazing local goods, and the makers behind them weren’t being fully celebrated.

That’s why I started My Farmers Marketplace: to further showcase the incredible products crafted right here at home, to keep our dollars circulating in our own economy rather than being sent overseas, and to create something that’s a win for everyone involved. It’s about more than gifting... it’s about celebrating Alberta’s makers, strengthening our communities, and sharing the pride of local craftsmanship.
